Established in 1970, we are very proud of some of the firsts achieved by our Danes. Our philosophy is that our dogs should be excellent companions with great temperaments, great looks and great health. We particularly value our Best in Show (All Breeds) wins as we feel that it is a true measure of our Danes worth to compete against the best of other breeds. We are mainly fawn breeders but branched out into brindles when we imported semen from the USA. During the 1970's we did breed some harlequins, but with a limited gene pool in the country, went back to breeding just fawns. Only in the last few years have we gone back to our other love, the harlequin, and in only four litters we have produced two BIS winners. Our danes are bred and owned by ourselves entirely. We do NOT breed in conjunction with any other kennel nor do we allow any other kennel to breed puppies under our prefix. We do NOT co-own dogs for the purpose of breeding, nor do we enter into any lease arrangements or contracts where the dog must be shown. Whilst it is nice to have our dogs in the showring, we are of the opinion that it far more important that our Danes are loved for themselves, rather than as someone's "show dog or breeder" to be dragged from pillar to post. There are far too many Danes going through Rescues throughout the world. We don't get to as many shows these days with our dogs but when we are there they make their presence felt!! Fawn.
* The only Great Dane Kennel in Australia to breed Grand Champions in both
Harlequin and Fawn.
* The only Great Dane Kennel in Australia to breed RUBIS in Brindle, Harlequin
and Fawn.
* The only Great Dane Kennel in Queensland to breed BIS winning Harlequins
(Three).
* The only Great Dane Kennel in Queensland to breed a Harlequin Grand Champion.
* Breeders of Australia's youngest Fawn Grand Champion - 2 years 3 months.
* Breeders of Australia's youngest Harlequin Grand Champion - 3 years.
* Breeders of Australia's only Great Dane to win 4 consecutive CC's at the
same Royal Show.
* The only Great Dane Kennel in Queensland to breed a Group winning Bitch at
Brisbane Royal.
* The only Great Dane Kennel in Queensland to breed a Group winner at Sydney
Royal.
* The only Great Dane Kennel to qualify a Bitch for Pedigree Dog of the
Year (Puppy).
* Breeders of Best of Breed, Royal National Show 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003 and
2004.
